Shizuka Tatsuno is active in a wide range of fields as a creative director/designer both domestically and internationally, focusing on product design, including furniture, fashion accessories, and household goods.
The design is very appealing, as it unravels the background of manufacturing, shows the culture that the company has cultivated through its technology, and gives a strong sense of belief in the work, which is closely related to the humanity of the workers.

In recent years, he has held the ``A moment in time-ume'' exhibition, which displays works using vegetable dyeing techniques and ``candy.'' The transparent candy made from the colors extracted from each plum tree changes shape during the exhibition period and returns to the soil. Colors and shapes that encapsulate a beautifully spun time. These wonderful works of art, which change form and remain in the corners of people's memories long after they disappear, have become a hot topic of conversation.

We asked Mr. Tatsuno what kind of paper products he is particularly fond of.
"Moleskine Classic Notebook"
That's what he said.
``I've been using this notebook for over 10 years.I thought I was using it too much, so I tried changing to a different notebook, but I ended up using it again.
Over the past few years, I've been using the 9x14 cm soft cover type, which is useful for taking notes and sketching on the go. The format is solid and the design is good, so it looks beautiful in a place where you can store your ever-growing number of notebooks. ”
It's amazing how beautiful the ever-increasing number of notebooks look. This is a story typical of Tatsuno, who believes that the essence of manufacturing is the circulation of creators and users through appropriate quantity production. By the way, Moleskine has a word called "Moleskine Tower". Users call it this because of the unique appearance and atmosphere of stacking used notebooks.

We asked them about their favorite products from Taisei Shiki Seisakusho.
“POCHI–PON”
![]() |
" I like the fun and popping sound it makes when you open it. I'd like to put something in it other than money and give it to someone."
POCHI-PON is a cylindrical bag that can be used to roll up bills, but since it is made using paper tube technology that does not lose its shape, it is often used for secondary purposes. I'd love to hear what you tried putting inside it, such as a small accessory case, organizing travel items that were scattered around, or putting notepads in it!
I’m looking forward to Tatsuno-san’s future activities!
