Design Hikidashi Editor-in-Chief Junko Tsuda’s favorite paper products

``Design no Hikidashi'' is a magazine that has received tremendous support from Japanese paper and paper processing industries and designers, including us. I think there are many people who become absorbed in each issue due to the overwhelming amount of information, samples, and special features.

When starting a store that handles paper-related products, we asked Mr. Tsuda, the editor-in-chief of Design Hikidashi, about his favorite paper products. What Tsuda-san chose...

"Paper is used casually in everyday life. From fruit bags to wrap pears and grapes, to greaseproof paper bags to wrap croquettes, cleaning tags, paper cartons for vacuum cleaners, water-resistant greenery to wrap tuna, votive paper to wrap tempura, etc. The blank paper used as cushioning material for courier services, the parchment on top of margarine, the paper stuck to the bottom of steamed meat buns, the paper on the wallet (I've never seen it that often), the silver paper on the mouth of a cigarette, and a memo pad. Marble rolls, wrapping paper from department stores, amber paper used for Tanabata decorations... there's no shortage of them."

I received a comment full of love for paper!

“It makes me happy to think that all kinds of paper are playing an active role in our daily lives!”

... apparently ... I couldn't even imagine the paper used in such small details! There are many types of paper, each with its own specialized functions, that can be used not only in packaging such as paperboard, but also in all aspects of daily life. It makes me realize that I still don't have enough training...

As expected, Mr. Tsuda received comments about his love for paper that exceeded his expectations.Which Taisei Shiki Seisakusho products do you want to use/favorite?

It's called PULL SHELF .

One comment I received was, ``It's nice to see that my desk looks tidy.''

We would love for you to include the paper samples and product samples you are collecting! I'm looking forward to "Design Drawer" where you can have fun learning about paper and processing!
